Project 70Forward teams up with Queen City Unity, Teach a Man to Fish Foundation, and several donation sites around the city to answer the call of hunger and food scarcity.
During the Federal government shutdown, our citizens, including our elder and disabled citizens, received their food allotments for both January and February together. This means that there would be no benefits given to some citizens until late March with the threat of another shutdown looming. Many citizens already deal with food deserts and scarcity. Also, we have heard from the food pantries that they are scrambling to prepare for the increase in requests.

In response, we are collecting canned and non-perishable goods to help meet the need. From February 1st until February 17th, four collection sites around the city will receive items during their regular business hours. The collections sites are:

NoDa Yoga, 3201 N. Davidson, Ste B.,

Yoga One Central, 1318 Central Avenue, #D2,

Yoga One Dilworth, 2230 Park Road, Freedom Worship Center, 4732 Old Pineville Road.

If you cannot make it out to a drop-off location, you can schedule a donation pick up at your doorstep or place of business. Simpy fill out the form below, you will receive an email with designated pick up times for you to select, and a Queen City Unity Ambassador will pick up your donation on your date and time of choice. Donating to the cause is as easy as can be and we hope that you will help us serve these individuals in need.
